The Inventory Analyst’s core responsibilities are to coordinate of the various business calendar tasks assigned to the Purchasing team, and to support its members with analytics. He/she also participates in the improvement of supply chain processes.

 ASSIGNED RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluate purchasing needs based on sales forecasts;
  • Work collaboratively with users of the various work tools and reports to optimize their content;
  • Updating and analyzing performance measurement dashboards (KPIs) to measure the health of supply chain business processes;
  • Transmit strategic data between the various departments of the company;
  • Identify gaps between the budget and projections/actuals, and assign actions to organization members;
  • Coordinate the booking orders process (winter/summer);
  • Participate to the demand and supply planning processes;
  • All other related tasks.

SUCCESS FACTORS

  • Technical skills: your bachelor’s degree in business management with an operations management or marketing major, combined with 2-3 years of experience, has allowed you to understand and apply intermediate inventory management concepts: safety stock, economical order quantities (EOQ), cycle stock, ABC ranking. Your previous experience in a seasonal, wholesale distribution environment, your intermediate Excel skills (knowledge of PowerQuery is an asset), and your APICS and/or IBF certifications are assets;
  • Analytical skills: you can easily synthesize and communicate data to enable the organization in making guided business decisions related to inventory management;
  • Adaptation capacity: you can easily adapt yourself to the changing needs of your customers (internal and external); you have that special something that allows you to both be a team player, and to self-manage – planning, organizing, and prioritizing, are a second nature to you;
  • Communication skills: you can easily communicate in English and in French, both verbal and written;
  • Thorough and detail oriented: you strive for a job well done – you are meticulous and precise, and you continuously ensure that the information you are providing is reliable and accurate;
  • Desire to learn: you are curious by nature, and open to change; your team spirit makes you want to share knowledge with your colleagues, to enable learning and innovation.
