The Superintendent – Buildings and warehouses maintenance will be responsible for the maintenance and proper operation of our warehouses in the Greater Montreal area.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of the various systems (electrical, heating, plumbing, piping, air conditioning, ventilation, fire protection), maintain the HVAC, plumbing, security and electrical systems;
• Perform general maintenance such as carpentry, minor repairs and other more or less complex work;
• Respond to calls from the dispatcher;
• Repair and maintain buildings, sanitary facilities and perform simple mechanical work on a daily basis;
• Perform preventive maintenance according to the established schedule;
• Coordinate some of the work performed by workers;
• Implement the procedures and work methods established by the building;
• Be available at all times for emergencies;
• Perform all other related tasks.

Success factors

• Technical Background: Your 10+ years of experience in a similar position has provided you with the knowledge base necessary to perform your duties. This position requires a minimum of a high school diploma. A vocational diploma in building maintenance is an asset;
• Organizational skills: Despite a fast pace and heavy workload, you are able to manage stress and prioritize in order to act quickly and meet tight deadlines;
• Collaborative spirit: A true team player, you encourage collaboration with your colleagues to facilitate learning. You know how to build relationships with your internal and external clients and become a trusted business partner whose advice is greatly appreciated;
• Negotiation: Your negotiation skills have always allowed you to achieve your objectives, and you have a well-developed analytical mind;
• Bilingualism: You have a facility to communicate orally and in writing in French and English (an asset);
• Holds a valid driver's license (class 5) minimum.
