Job Purpose
The Masterdata Pricing Analyst implements and supports the pricing strategy, as well as the complementary positioning strategy, put forward by the marketing and merchandising teams. He/she is responsible for the governance of master data related to the pricing and merchandising processes and ensures the accuracy of the prices and conditions in place. The analyst uses his/her SAP knowledge and business regulations to contribute to the optimization of pricing conditions, master data and business processes.
Assigned responsibilities
- Maintain pricing rules in SAP according to merchandising guidelines;
- Execute and maintain price change requests from the sales team;
- Ensure that price change requests comply with profit margin achievement strategies;
- Ensure governance of pricing conditions to maintain pricing accuracy;
- Optimize pricing management by providing ideas to design and improve pricing-related business processes;
- Monitor the performance and accuracy of business processes by helping to identify deviations in business rules on pricing data;
- Carry out the investigation of incidents related to pricing processes, including investigation, defect resolution and business follow-up;
- Collaborate with other team members and the wider user community;
- Ensure the analysis, processing, conversion and cleansing of relevant data;
- Ensure the stabilization and optimization of the SAP pricing module by contributing to the documentation, testing, implementation, training and support of price positioning processes;
- All other related tasks.
Success factors
- Demonstrate a high sense of autonomy, priority and attention to detail, to ensure close communications with colleagues and manager;
- Technical background: Your bachelor's degree in marketing, accounting or administration (or equivalent), combined with 2 years' experience in one or more SAP modules;
- SAP expertise: Your mastery and experience with the SAP Sales & Distribution (SD), price condition and sales contract modules will help you make process improvements;
- IT expertise: You have a good knowledge and master of Microsoft Excel;
- Analytical skills: You have ease for conceiving and analyzing complex situations and coming up with simple, customer service-oriented solutions adapted to the business context;
- Business partner: You always opt for a collaborative, solution-oriented approach. Your interpersonal skills and the advice you provide following your analyses are highly valued, as you value communication and exchange with your colleagues in achieving your objectives;
- Thoroughness, autonomy and attention to detail: You are thorough in your work and pay attention to small details in a context of high autonomy;
- Dynamic work environment: You are comfortable and resilient in a fast-paced, regularly changing work environment;
- Bilingualism: You are bilingual and fluent in both spoken and written French and English;
- Experience with SQL and data management software and/or tools an asset (Winshuttle, MS MDS, SAP NetWeaver MDM, SAP MDG).
