Job Description

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and managing the everyday operation of warehouse activities, including picking, packing, shipping and receiving.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Train and motivate afternoon shift Warehouse Associates and Warehouse Admin
  • Walk the floor between shipping and receiving to ensure staff are performing duties properly
  • Ensure all night shift duties have been completed with integrity
  • Work with Operations Manager to meet company objectives and goals
  • Ensure warehouse is organized and clean and all product is put away, for best efficiency during the day
  • Ensure all outstanding orders are picked
  • Responsible for the implementation of the Receipting SOP for all products within the assigned branch
  • Responsible for the implementation of the Cycle Count SOP within the assigned branch
  • Responsible for filling all documentation including invoices, credits, LTL manifests and more
  • Scan POD's in Rack 2 Flyer
  • Ensure all afternoon shift staff work in an organized, efficient, productive, and safe manner
  • Prioritize and assign tasks to other afternoon shift staff
  • Maintain shipping/receiving records and files
  • Enforce corporate health & safety policy
  • Ensure the building is secure at the end of the shift
  • Provide a complete report of tasks completed to Operations Manager if required
  • Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager

 

Experience that Best Prepares You:

  • Experience managing, supervising, and training others is mandatory
  • Previous experience in operations, with responsibility for warehouse and transportation
  • 5+ years of experience in a tire, automotive or retail environment
