Job Purpose
The Warehouse Outbound Supervisor’s primary responsibilities will include to assume the leadership of a great team, coordinate and schedule the daily operations, plan the required staffing and resource needs for the delivery activities. He/She ensures the implementation and maintenance of health and safety policies on the road and in the warehouse, and the achievement of high standards.
Responsibilities
- Help maintain high customer satisfaction by providing high standards in daily operational quality service in the shipping and logistics management of tires;
- Establish and meet KPI and Cost operational objectives to be achieved on a daily, weekly and monthly basis;
- Constantly adjust the work to be performed according to priorities, last minute requests or unforeseen situations;
- Proactively improve operational processes to achieve higher levels of efficiency and evaluate their performance;
- Ensure the accuracy of inventories;
- Maintain high health and safety standards;
- Act as an ambassador of high standards, enforcement of policies and promotion of corporate values to employees;
- Plan delivery routes according to current orders;
- Generate the computerized list of items for the order pickers according to the delivery routes;
- Prepare delivery orders for delivery personnel with specific instructions for each route;
- Ensure the follow-up of delivery times and communicate the information to customer service;
- Supervise the loading sequence and accuracy of delivery trucks;
- All other related tasks.
Success factors
- Business Sense: Your minimum of 5 years of experience in a distribution center, including supervision, will allow you to successfully lead your team and manage your daily operations with confidence;
- Computer skills: Your mastery of the Microsoft Office suite, especially Outlook and Excel, will allow you to build good models to better track and give a better overview of your operations;
- Territory Expert: Your familiarity with the road networks in and around the Greater Montreal area is essential to achieve your objectives;
- Interest in health: Staying in good health is part of your values and you are happy to help your team and support them in their physical tasks, if necessary;
- Leadership: You are naturally motivated, hard-working and resourceful. Customer-oriented, with strong time management and logistics skills, you know you are the ideal candidate for this position;
- Stress resistant: You have a strong ability to make quick decisions in emergency situations and know how to prioritize. You always have a solution to overcome obstacles and unexpected events;
- Bilingualism: You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
